CHIN is an initiative of The Montgomery Institute dedicated to improving the health and well-being of residents in Lauderdale County and surrounding communities. Its mission is to bring together local healthcare providers, schools, nonprofits, and community leaders to create collaborative programs that increase access to care, promote health equity, and empower individuals with the knowledge to lead healthier lives.
CHIN’s vision is a region where every person—regardless of background or income—has access to reliable health information, preventive care, and a strong network of support.
Through efforts like Lunch & Learn events featuring medical experts, CHIN provides trusted, practical health education on topics that matter most to our community—from chronic disease prevention to mental health awareness. These programs help residents make informed decisions and foster a culture of wellness that goes beyond the doctor’s office.
Whether you’re a resident seeking support or an organization looking to partner, CHIN is your community connection to better health.
